This morning I found myself thinking about my Mom and how she loved putting jigsaw puzzles. She would spend hours, days, weeks, sometimes months putting together these huge jigsaw puzzles. It brought to my mind, the thought, life is like a puzzle. Let’s just hold this space for that conversation.
Piece
If life is a puzzle, we are like a puzzle piece. Puzzling? Absolutely! Like a puzzle piece, everyone is important. Each piece is as important as the other to complete the whole. Like a puzzle piece, we all have unique curves, colors, edges, and details that align us with others. You are unique! You matter!
Pieces
Life is like a puzzle you put together one piece at a time. All the pieces will come together, be patience. Remember, “you are a piece of the puzzle of someone else’s life. You may never know where you fit, but others will fill the holes in their lives with pieces of you” (Bonnie Arbon).
Peace
What can you do, today, to be at peace when you are puzzled about the future? First, we need to connect with God. “We are – because God is!” (Emanuel Swedenborg). God is PEACE. God is the source of peace. Second, trust God as the source for everything. “The LORD is my Shepherd, I lack nothing”. Third, live in the present. “Now is all there ever is”. Are you living in the present at peace to move forward into your future?
Peace is…
We define “peace” in a variety of ways. Merriam-Webster defines peace as “a state of tranquility or quiet” or “to be, become, or keep silent or quiet.”
Scripture encourages to have peace because we know God. “Be still, and know that I am God”. What, if anything, is preventing you from experiencing peace? What could you do, today, to let go of that piece of your life that no longer serves you?
“There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle” (Deepak Chopra). I want to thank you for being a piece in my puzzle.
Stay amazing, my friend! On the Camel’s Back, Theo
